Walt Disney World has updated its health and safety guidelines, removing the indoor mask mandate for vaccinated guests. Guests who are not vaccinated are asked to continue wearing masks indoors. Facial coverings will still be required by all guests while on Disney transportation including buses, monorails and Disney's Skyliner.

The complete update is as follows:

Beginning February 17, 2022, Face coverings will be optional for fully vaccinated Guests in both outdoor and indoor locations. We expect Guests who are not fully vaccinated to continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theaters. Face coverings will still be required by all Guests (ages 2 and up) on enclosed Disney transportation, including Disney buses, monorails, and Disney Skyliner.

Current health and safety guidelines are always available on Disney's Returning to a World of Magic page.

Indoor masking was briefly eliminated during the summer of 2021. However the requirment was re-instituted in late July amid a surge in COVID-19 testing positivity rates and later the arrival of the Omicron variant.

Masks have not been required in outoor areas of Walt Disney World since May 2021.
