Walt Disney World continues to reintroduce services which were hampered by the COVID-19 pandemic as monorail transportation is set to return on Sunday, July 18, 2021.

Monorail service to EPCOT had been discontinued since the initial resort shutdown back in March 2020. Service returned to the Magic Kingdom area back in the summer of 2020 while the EPCOT line remained shuttered.

Bus service from both Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to EPCOT will end on July 25, 2021. Bus transportation between the park and Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is expected to continue until mid-August as crews work to complete a rebuild of the resort's second story monorail loading platform. Polynesian guests may either take advantage of bus transportation to EPCOT or walk to the Transportation & Ticket Center to board the EPCOT monorail.
