At Aulani Resort, we’re ready to say a big Aloha to ABC’s “American Idol” — the entire show! On his live radio show, “On Air with Ryan Seacrest,” the “American Idol” host shared exciting news today that for the first time ever, the show will be heading to Hawaii to film its showcase rounds at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina.

This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the life-sized Gingerbread House at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. This popular holiday display stands 14 feet tall in the lobby of the resort, and if you’ve ever wanted to see how this magical creation is built, then I’ve got a video for you! Towering 7 ½ feet high, 12 feet wide and surrounded by intricately sweet details, the gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa at the Disneyland Resort is quite a delight and a must-see in the main lobby. Now, there is a brand new offering for guests staying at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort: A Grand Gingerbread House Experience, where you can build your own miniature version to take home.

I love singing this song at Christmas, and today it especially gets me excited to be able to share all the amazing holiday offerings coming to Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in December. I am honestly not sure what I’m most excited about — with a “Kakamora” inspired Gingerbread House or a yummy Candy Cane Mickey Macaroon or even a chance on Christmas Eve to tell Aloha Santa what I want under my palm tree! There are so many ways to celebrate the holidays and create magical memories at Aulani Resort!
