Effective Sunday August 2, 2009, Walt Disney World and Disneyland increased their park admission prices. The increases encompass all admission media for both resort complexes including Annual Passes.
Tthe Orlando Sentinel has a brief rundown on the price increases for Walt Disney World's Magic Your Way passes. Disney Vacation Club members receive a discount of $100-125 off of the price of an Annual Pass. Here is a look at the price of those discounted Annual Passes before and after the increase.
|Annual Pass (Adult)||$369||$389|
|Annual Pass (Child)
|Premium Annual Pass (Adult)
|Premium Annual Pass (Child)
The above prices do not include tax or shipping.
Annual Pass renewal prices were also raised by similar amounts. However, Disney has confirmed last week's rumor--Annual Pass renewals after August 2, 2009 will be for 15 months instead of the previous 12 months. Note that this offer is subject to change at any time.
Disneyland guests will also see increases to their ticket prices but not for a few more weeks. Mouseplanet.com has a rundown on the Disneyland price increases. However they also note that most vendors will not implement the new pricing until late-August.
Guests with planned visits to Disneyland should exercise caution when buying tickets in advance. Unlike tickets sold for the Florida resort complex, many Disneyland passes stipulate that they must be used by a predetermined date.
Disney Vacation Club members receive a modest $20 discount on the initial purchase of Disneyland Annual Passports. Here is a look at the current DVC member pricing along with the increase to be implemented later this month.
|Deluxe Annual Pass (includes blackout dates)||$249||$269|
|Premium Annual Pass (no blackout dates)||$369||$389|
The above prices do not include tax. Disneyland Annual Passports must be purchased at a Disneyland ticket booth. There is no DVC member discount on Disneyland AP renewals.
