Amenities will be limited at the west coast Disney Vacation Club resort, with limited resort services and just one of its three pools available to guests.
The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is scheduled to reopen on December 6, 2020. However, it will do so with a very limited selection of resort services for DVC members. Specifically, the resort's lobby, front desk and Mariposa Pool are among the few amenities that will be in full operation.
Disney has confirmed that all of the resort's dining venues will remain closed, including Storyteller's Cafe, Napa Rose, Hearthstone Lounge and GCH Craftsman Bar & Grill. In-room dining will also not be offered.
Acorn Gifts & Goods is not scheduled to reopen.
Eureka Fitness Center will operate under reduced capacity. Tenya Stone Spa will not be available, and all of the unique resort tours and classes are suspended.
Of the three resort pools, only Mariposa Pool will be open to guests, along with the two hot tubs. Physical distancing and limited capacity will be enforced. The Fountain Pool, Redwood Pool and its waterslides will remain closed.
Valet parking, Disney Floral & Gifts, dry-cleaning and shipping are among other services not available upon the villas' reopening.
Only the 48 Disney Vacation Club villas are scheduled to resume operations in December, while the 900+ hotel rooms remain vacant. Dining and shopping services will be available at adjacent Downtown Disney, as well as portions of Disney California Adventure theme park beginning on November 19.
There is no reopening estimate for Disneyland or the attractions at Disney California Adventure, both of which have been shuttered since March.
