The 2024 refurbishment at Disney's Vero Beach Resort is complete, adding the popular pull-down Murphy Beds to villas.
Via Disney Files Magazine, Disney Vacation Club has revealed that renovations at Vero Beach have wrapped up. The project was set to begin in late 2023 and carry into mid 2024. This is regarded as a full refurbishment of the villa interiors, with many changes to floor coverings, wall coverings and decor.
Also noteworthy is the addition of the pull-down Murphy-style sofabeds in villas. It is not immediately clear if these units were added to all Vero Beach rooms. As one of the oldest Disney Vacation Club properties, Vero Beach does have some room designs which are not necessarily condusive to the large wall-mounted sofabeds.
Two small images provided by DVC depict the living space of a One or Two Bedroom villa. The decor features a strong beach theme with several shades of blue and beige. The queen-size sofabed includes artwork from the Disney Pixar film 'Finding Nemo.' Also visible is the fold-out twin size sleeper chair. These chairs gained popularity with DVC around 2008-2009. They are present in several other DVC resorts including Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas and Disney's Old Key West Resort.
The fall edition of Disney Files will feature additional coverage of the Vero Beach renovations.
In addition to the room updates, the pool complex at Disney's Vero Beach Resort underwent an extensive refurbishment back in the winter of 2024. Character dining also recently returned to Wind & Waves Grill with a weekly breakfast featuring Goofy and Pluto.
