Wednesday's Orlando Sentinel published an article regarding Disney's recent purchase of 15 acres in Maryland's National Harbor development. Disney has gone on record saying that the site will be home to approximately 500 guest rooms. But will any of them be Disney Vacation Club villas?
In response to inquries from the Sentinel, Disney refused to comment on whether DVC villas are part of the proposed development or not.
Disney has begun construction on a mixed use facility on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. That facility consists of approximately 350 hotel rooms and 480 timeshare villas. For the time being we will have to wait to see if Disney intends to add a timeshare component to it's DC-area development as well.
