It appears that the resort adjacent to Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa will soon have a new owner.

Disney Vacation Club has unveiled an unprecedented offer which allows members to book a 7-night stay at Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas for the cost of only 5 nights worth of points.  

Despite the wide variety of dining options at Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas, the resort's location provides easy access to a number of additional options.  In a story entitled "Aulani Guests: Will Walk for Food", Yesterland.com's Werner Weiss examines 15 restaurants located within walking distance of the Disney Vacation Club timeshare.

The 2015 Disney Vacation Club points charts indicated that a small number of Standard View Hotel Rooms at Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas would be available to members using points.  What wasn't clear was exactly when that option would be offered to members.  The answer is: now.  

The formula for Hawaii's Transient Accommodations Tax includes the annual dues figure for stays at Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas.  Following is an overview of how the tax amounts have changed with the new 2014 dues.  

Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas, recently completed a major expansion project that included enhancements to the pool areas at the resort. In addition to creating a new themed family pool (Ka Maka Grotto), a new kids splash zone (Keiki Cove) and additional deck space for chairs and chaises, Aulani has relocated some of the poolside cabanas.
