Disney purchased a minority interest in the nine-story office building which was formerly home to Disney Vacation Club operations.
Walt Disney Parks & Resort U.S. Inc. purchased a 39% interest in the 178,000 square foot office building located at 200 Celebration Place. The remaining 61% is owned by Delaware-based investment company 200 Celebration Eat LLC.
Total purchase price for the transaction was $25.7 million.
The building was constructed in 1995 and previously owned by 200 Celebration Place Business Trust.
Operations for the Disney Vacation Club timeshare program were run out of the Celebration-based business complex until it relocated in 2010. DVC headquarters currently reside in a 100,925 sq ft facility located at 1390 Celebration Blvd.
No word on what plans Disney may have for the 200 Celebration Place facility.
