Disney Vacation Club will say goodbye to 2019 with a combination of free lounge exclusivity for resort guests and a paid event available to all members.
The year-end restrictions imposed upon Top of the World Lounge return in 2019, but with a new twist. As reported back in July, the lounge will host a private event on the night of December 31st. The "New Year’s Eve Celebration at Top of the World Lounge" offers a selection of desserts, charcuterie and cheeses, along with alcoholic beverages for those over age 21. Of course, the highlight of the event is the 16th floor view of the New Year's Eve fireworks high above Disney's Magic Kingdom.
The exclusive gathering runs from 10pm until midnight and is priced at $119 per person. Owners can book space for themselves plus up to 5 additional guests. No discounts or Disney Dining Plan credits are applicable. Full payment is due at the time of booking. Owners must be eligible for Membership Magic in order to participate.
Reservations are currently open for those with confirmed reservations at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemoporary Resort on the night of December 31, 2019. If party availability remains, the event will open to other DVC members at 9:00am Eastern on October 25. Contact DVC Member Services to reserve.
Resort guests in search of a more economical New Year's celebration can visit the lounge on the night of December 30th or earlier in the evening on December 31 for complimentary viewing of the night's first fireworks display.
On December 30, Bay Lake Tower guests have exclusive access to the lounge to view the Magic Kingdom fireworks scheduled for 6:30pm and 11:50pm. And on December 31, the lounge will be freely available to resort guests for the 6:30 show.
Lounge access opens at 5:00pm each day with access granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
