Disney Vacation Club members with confirmed hotel reservations can now secure a spot in one of the Epcot Moonlight Magic events this July and August.
On Monday July 16 and Wednesday August 15, 2018, Disney Vacation Club will host Moonlight Magic gatherings at the Epcot theme park. Members with Walt Disney World resort reservations on the evening of an event can now register to attend.
The events are free to DVC members and their guests. The park will be available exclusively to registered participants from 9:30pm to 12:30am. Entrance is typically permitted several hours before the party start with no other admission media required. Available attractions will include Test Track and The Seas with Nemo & Friends, with other attractions and details to be revealed closer to the party date.
Each event will also feature complimentary refreshments, a DJ dance party and unique character meet opportunities. Transportation to and from Disney resorts is provided.
Group size is limited to the DVC member plus up to 5 guests, or their full hotel party, whichever is larger. Attendance is limited and walk-ups will not be permitted. DVC member ID and photo ID must be presented upon arrival. Only members eligible for the Membership Magic perks programs may attend. Each Disney Vacation Club member can only register for one Moonlight Magic date per park.
For additional details or to register, visit the Disney event registration website.
July and August are indeed sold out! What the heck?! As large as Epcot is and it gets shut out within the first hours of onsite guest booking window opening? I knew they sold out, but I at least thought they had enough spots to handle most of the guests staying on property! If I had known this was a book your chef mickey’s at 6 months kind of thing, I would have gotten up early this morning. So frustrating!!
Although i know ill be upset if we dont get in this event is kind of a tough one. They dont publish the event max so we dont know how many tickets are given away. If they increase the capacity then its more crowded and longer wait times which would upset the people going. If they dont then soooo many people miss out
I also read that there were a lot of technical problems with the site crashing and reservations not being recognized. Its impossible to know what percentage of people had the site crash and/or just entered numbers improperly. I know id be furious if we missed out because the site crashed.
Disney may need to be stricter on the criteria. Like maybe only 1 event per year per membership instead of 1 park. I also think they should limit the guest size to those on the reservation. Ive read people signing up then giving tickets away that they didnt intend to use and you know tbere has to be some selling them.
I think this is a great perk and its evident by the popularity. Hopefully they can find a way so more owners benefit.

I was on at 9:10 and July was already sold out. August sold out within about 45 minutes as well.
Am I the only one who finds it crazy they can’t even handle a fraction of the dvc guests staying on-site?
I don’t know what the total daily sleeping capacity of on-site dvc villas are, but how many could it be? 15K? Epcot is capable of handling 100K. Of course I’m not saying to fill it, but Epcot future world should be able to handle the number of on-site dvc guests with ease.
For those who say it would feel crowded, no offense, but it’s a free event. How upset could you honestly be? Yes, it should be capped, but it should be capped to allow on site guest stay at the minimum.
And I agree with above, the real problem is allowing people to get 5 extra tickets. Those should absolutely be disallowed until it opens up to offsite guests and even then I think offsite dvc members should get precedence.
What a hollow benefit...
