Disney Vacation Club has updated its listing of member perks for the 2014 calendar year. Included are discounts offered to guests staying at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas, Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort and Disney's Vero Beach Resort.
Downloadable PDFs are now available detailing perks offered at all DVC destinations. The format has changed slightly with the booklet-sized "Pocket Perks" giving way to a larger two-sided page entitled "Membership Magic."
On the surface, few changes have been made to the list of discounted services. Members receive 10-20% discounts at a selection of dining establishments. There are discounts on theme park tours, merchandise and spa services. Pool hopping is still available at the Florida-based resorts, free DVD rentals, access to Top of the World Lounge, and so on.
However one noteworthy change relates to the introduction of block-out dates. Member perks were previously offered year-round. That is no longer the case as a series of block-out dates apply "to all offers." Those dates include, but are "not limited to" the following:
- January 1, 2014
- February 14, 2014
- April 20, 2014
- May 11, 2014
- July 4, 2014
- November 27, 2014
- December 25, 2014
- December 31, 2014
In other words, no discounts of any kind on New Year's Day, Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.
