Disney Vacation Club has planned another series of events in conjunction with its Chicago-based Doorway to Dreams sales center.
Note that we've added additional information regarding the event sessions available to non-members, and links to websites at which folks can register to attend.
Disney's Doorway to Dreams in Woodfield Mall will be hosting a Disney Travel Showcase event August 1-3. Times for the event for current members are as follows:
Friday, August 1st - 7:30pm
Saturday, August 2nd - 11am
Saturday, August 2nd - 7pm
Sunday, August 3rd - 7pm

Prospective DVC Members are invited to separate sessions at the times below:

The event will be held at the Improv Comedy Club.
It is described as "an exciting event where you'll learn about new vacation experiences and unique limited-time incentives good for Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge."
In addition, Illinois residents are eligible to participate in "The 2008 Disney Vacation Club Doorway to Dreams Sweepstakes" where one entrant from each session will win a "five (5) day/ four (4) night vacation package to Walt Disney World® Resort."
"Package includes: round-trip, economy class air travel for winner and up to three (3) guests to Orlando, Florida, accommodations (based on quadruple occupancy) in a Disney Vacation Club resort one-bedroom villa, park admissions for winner and up to three (3) guests, and pre-loaded gift cards with US$75 per person per day for winner and up to three (3) guests to be used for meals on Walt Disney Resort Property during the trip prize. Trip prize also includes a $3415 check payable to the winner to help defray payment of taxes payable as a result of winning the prize. Sponsor makes no representation or warranty that the check portion of this prize will be sufficient to pay winner's tax liability. The winner is responsible for and must pay all taxes in excess of this amount. Travel must be taken and completed between October 1, 2008 and September 30, 2009. Specific travel dates to be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. ARV of each prize: US$9758. ARV of all prizes (based on the minimum of nine (9) Sessions): US$87,822."
