Chicago-area DVC Members have begun receiving postcards touting an event scheduled for February 9 - 12, 2008 at it's Woodfield Mall sales center in Schaumburg, Illinois.
According to the information provided, Mickey Mouse and other characters will be on-hand for an event scheduled for February 9th. Then on February 10 - 12th, there will be special receptions held exclusively for current DVC members in conjunction with the "Doorway to Dreams" sales center.
While not going into details, DVC claims that special incentives will be offered during the receptions. Curious timing given that the current sales incentive (which is quite generous) is slated to run until February 18th--a few days after these events conclude.

The Woodfield Mall sales center has been open since the summer of 2007. Similar events have been held in the past. Previously they were open to existing members only and it was required that attendees RSVP in advance. The sales center is open during normal mall hours with a sales staff on hand to answer questions for those with an interest in the Disney Vacation Club.
