Disney Vacation Club members are invited to take part in a wave of holiday shopping promotions in early-December 2009. On the morning of December 5th the World of Disney locations at Disneyland and Walt Disney World will feature special "doorbuster" sales from 6:30am to 9:30am with items discounted up to 50%. Additional retail locations are holding 20% off sales which run from December 5-12 at both resorts. Details follow.
Dates have been set for the 2009 edition of the holiday-themed Merry Member Mixer parties held outside Epcot's International Gateway.
Planning to set sail on the 2010 Disney Vacation Club Member Cruise? Mark your calendar for November 7, 2009, the designated booking date for the cruise which runs from 9/12 to 9/16/2010. The cruise itinerary and booking instructions follow.
Please Note: On November 7, 2009, Member Services will ONLY accept phone calls related to the member cruise and any arrivals which occur between 11/7 and 11/19/2009. Phone lines will be extremely busy and it is recommended that members only call on this date if absolutely necessary.
This past weekend it was revealed that Disney Vacation Club members would no longer receive the benefit of free valet parking at select Walt Disney World resorts. After making a few inquiries we do have a little bit more information to share regarding the nature of this decision.
Disney Vacation Club Member Services is reporting that members are no longer eligible to receive free valet parking at Walt Disney World resorts. Effective Sunday October 11, 2009, DVC members using valet parking services will be charged a fee of $12 per day. Resorts impacted by this move include the Animal Kingdom Villas, Bay Lake Tower, Beach Club, BoardWalk and Wilderness Lodge.
Members staying at the above DVC resorts can continue to utilize the self-parking lots at no charge.
