Today Disney Cruise Line revealed that launch of the Disney Wish has been delayed by 6 weeks from June 9 to July 14, 2022. Disney Vacation Club members were previously offered an exclusive opportunity to book the second voyage of the Wish, scheduled to depart on June 14. That sailing has now been rescheduled for July 19, 2022. Individuals with reservations on these two inaugural sailings are being automatically rebooked to the new dates.

Additional departure dates impacted by the delay include 6/17, 6/20, 6/24, 6/27, 7/1, 7/4, 7/8, 7/11, 7/15, 7/18. Guests booked on these trips are being contacted by Disney to make accommodations.

An brief video update from Disney Cruise Line President Thomas Lazoum has been posted to YouTube:

New reservations for the Disney Wish are currently suspended while current plans are adjusted.

The delay was caused by COVID-19 labor disruptions at Meyer Werft shipyards in Germany where the vessel is currently in the late stages of construction.
