A new mailer from Disney Vacation Club confirms the EPCOT Member Lounge will remain available to owners in 2022.
Since its debut in 2016, availability of EPCOT's Disney Vacation Club member lounge has always been promoted on a year-to-year basis. In the early years, DVC commited to the lounge's continued availablity quite early: the 2018 and 2019 extensions were announced in August '17 and July '18, respectively.
In 2021 a January Disney Parks Blog story acknowledged its continued availablity through the end of the year. This year, an insert with the latest Disney Files Magazine seemingly provides confirimation by listing the lounge as a member perk for 2022.
Located on the second floor of the Imagination Pavilion, the lounge provides members with an exclusive spot to relax and recharge (electronic devices) while enjoying complimentary soft drinks and snacks.
The lounge has been very popular with members, particularly given the exclusive nature of the space. However, ongoing construction at EPCOT has prompted annual questions regarding its future. Over the past several years, the entire main entrance and "hub" have been reconstructted, with renovations announced for two of the park's pavilions. The western side of the park adjacent to the Imagination Pavilion is currently being converted to a Moana-inspired outdoor attraction dubbed Journey of Water.
The lounge extension comes at a time when DVC member perks are seemingly few and far between. Other signature events cited in DVC's 2022 Member Guide to the Magic are early entry and Extended Evening Hours at the theme parks, 50th anniversary buttons offered via the Scenic Selfies game and the 2022 member cruise.
The member lounge is currently available from 11am - 6pm daily (subject to change.) Members and their guests can access the lounge by visiting the designated podium located in the Imagination Pavilion's Imageworks gift shop.
