As of January 2, 2008, the revised banking guidelines were to go into effect. From that point forward, members would be able to bank 100% of their points in the first 8 months of their Use Year. Well, according to a report on our forums, DVC may have changed the rules a few days early.
Forum member "Stimpy" reports that a relative was able to bank points under the new terms earlier today (December 26, 2007.) The member in question has a June Use Year. Under the old banking terms, only 50% of the points would be eligible for banking today (since we are 7 months into the Use Year.) However, under the new terms, a June Use Year would be able to bank 100% until January 31st.
If DVC were waiting until 1/2/08 to make the banking changes, this member would not have been able to bank 100% until after 1/2. But DVC allowed the transaction today.
