The Orlando Sentinel reports that funding has been secured to begin construction on the Four Seasons resort hotel and timeshare, with work expected to begin in December 2011. 

The Four Seasons hotel and fractional timeshare project moved closer to commencement this week as new permit applications were filed with local regulators.

The Orlando Sentinel has a new story up addressing the immediate future of the timeshare industry.  In the wake of economic struggles and a faltering credit market, industry-wide revenues fell from $10 billion in 2007 down to $6.3 billion in 2009.  But experts see those numbers trending upward in the coming years.
