Via its Instagram account, Disney Vacation Club promises limited-time "experiences" coming this summer.
On consecutive days, Disney Vacation Club has taken to Instagram to tease a summer special for owners. Based upon two images released thus far, the program appears to be named "Welcome Home Weeks." Animated graphics posted on Sunday June 16 show "ks" barely visible at the end of the third word while the June 17 post provides a glimpse at the letters "we".
Text accompanying the two posts reads as follows:
"Summer is for everyone, but these limited time experiences are just for our Members. Any guesses as to what this event might be? Stay tuned for more details!"
...and...
"#ThatMagicalFeeling when summer meets splendor 🎢🌴🏠 Something magically yours is coming soon! Are you ready? ☀️"
We can only speculate as to what Disney Vacation Club has planned. It could be an event similar to V.I.Passholder days currently in effect for Walt Disney World Annual Passholders. Throughout most of May and June, passholders have seen their dining discounts increase from 10% to 20% off most table service restaurants, increased shopping discounts, free magnets, special PhotoPass opportunites, a limited-time private lounge at EPCOT and more.
The name could also serve as a callback to "Welcome Home Wednesdays", a weekly member gathering that DVC hosted for many years.
DVC has not indicated when the promotion will be revealed. However it does fall under the umbrealla of Membership Extras and will only be available to owners who qualify for those perks. Currently, members must own at least 150 points purchased from DVC to qualify, unless they were grandfathered at a lower threshold.
