Disney Vacation Club members can now register to attend the 2021 Condominium Association Meeting later this year.
The 2021 condo meeting will be held on Thursday, December 9 in the convention center of Disney's Contemporary Resort. The Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for 2:00pm with the Members Meeting to follow at 2:10pm.
Hosting an annual public owners meeting is a regulatory requirement. However much of the content is heavily scripted with board members meeting to ratify budgets and share a brief recap of 2021 along with things to expect in 2022. The 2020 meeting was heavily influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic with socially distanced seating and very limited interaction between attendees and executives. A brief Q&A session is provided, however it is ostensibly limited to budget-related questions only.
In previous years, the meeting was followed by a reception with free refreshments, Disney character photo opportunities and the opportunity to meet one-on-one with DVC and resort executives. In 2019, attendees were treated to a preview tour of Disney's Riviera Resort just days before its opening.
The meetings typically last 60-90 minutes.
Members can register to attend by visiting the DVC website and clicking on "My DVC" then "Condo Association News." Content will be provided live at the Contemporary with a teleconference provided to Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. Facial coverings and social distancing are required, along with completion of a COVID-19 waiver.
