DVC seeks new VP to enhance membership

General DVC News

Disney Vacation Club is looking for a new executive to improve member perks programs and oversee DVC's relationship with its owners.

The position is described as VP Member Experiences and Club Management.  Duties are geared toward improving the member experience, growing perks and simplifying ownership itself.

Listed responsibilities include supervision of most member communcation outlets (call center, member satisfaction, member accounting, etc.), managing Right of First Refusal buyback decisions on resale transactions, setting the annual points charts, working with exchange companies and working with other Disney and external partners to develop new benefits which enhance member satisfaction.

The position is based out of Orlando and would report directly to DVC head Claire Bilby.  Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required with MBA preferred.  Proven leadership skills  are required, along with a background in strategic planning, project management, negotiation and similar traits.

Among the noteworthy passages in the job listing is a statement that half of all Disney Vacation Club sales are either referred by an existing member or add-ons by members.  DVC owners are described as "one of the most valuable Disney guests" and "our largest vocal advocates we have for our company."

In any business, new leadership often brings a different perspective to existing products, services and customers.  That certainly appears to be the case with Claire Bilby.  Since her arrival in fall 2011 Disney Vacation Club has been much more aggressive in offering both savings opportunities and unique experiences to members.  Among the recent additions are inreased annual pass savings, a 10% merchandise discount throughout Walt Disney World, discounted Disney Cruise Line voyages and open access to Bay Lake Tower's Top of the World lounge.

The complete listing can be found at the Disney Jobs website.
