...former Disneyland Resort president and DVC executive Matt Ouimett was named president of Cedar Fair Entertainment Co. Ouimett was lauded for his work to repair years of neglect at Disneyland park in the years leading up to its 50th anniversary. Ouimett left Disney in 2006 to head Starwood Hotels & Resorts. In early 2012 he will assume the role Chief Operating Officer of Cedar Fair when current CEO Dick Kinzel retires.
...the D Point DVC point tracking app for Apple devices has been updated to version 2.01. The new update contains a number of bug fixes from version 2.0. The update is available free to all current owners.

...reminder that the DVC pool hopping privileges are revoked in the days leading up to the Fourth of July holiday. Pool hopping is prohibited from Sunday June 26 through Tuesday July 5, 2011.
