The Long Island, New York Doorway to Dreams hosted a holiday gathering for Disney Vacation Club members over the weekend. The event featured complimentary refreshments and Christmas ornaments, plus presentations highlighing the future of many Disney enterprises.

A diorama of the Aulani resort was on display. According to the presentation Aulani will feature a multi-level hot tub that faces the sunset. Guest rooms will have "male" and "female" theming--with the paintings on the walls reflecting one sex or the other, although the rooms will have the same furnishings. Disney will not be providing any transportation at Aulani--guests must use taxis or rent a car.
When Aulani opens all the outside structures will be complete but the interiors of some of the buildings won't be ready at first.
Disney Vacation Club resorts were discussed, highlighed by a slide show of the Bay Lake Tower. There was mention of recent changes to Bay Lake Tower rooms to make the guests happy--the sink relocation and locks added to bathroom doors.
The Magic Kingdom Fantasyland expansion was discussed but no new information revealed.
Attendees were given the opportunity to add points at the Bay Lake Tower or other resorts under DVC's Black Friday promotion.
A scale model of the Disney Dream was on display.
After the presentation guests were escorted to another room with a chocolate fountain, hot chocolate and soft drinks. Marshmallows, rice krispie treats, smores, strawberries and cookies were available, all coated in chocolate if desired!
