According to one source, Disney Vacation Club is allowing initial purchases of as little as 50 points.
In 2009 Disney began working with Independent Sales Agents--licensed realtors with the ability to sell DVC points. These third-party agents mostly operate in the area immediately surrounding the two Doorway to Dreams sales centers in Chicago and New York.
Earlier this week we received word that the Independent Sales Agents now have the ability to sell as few as 50 points in a DVC master contract. These 50-point contracts are limited to the four properties currently in active sales--Bay Lake Tower, Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel.
The prevailing minimum purchase is currently 160 points, however Disney Vacation Club has dabbled with offering 100-point contracts at select resorts.
No pricing information was given for these 50-point contracts. Interested buyers should contact a Disney Vacation Club sales representative for additional details.
