Guides Accepting VGC Sales Requests

Financial News & Pricing

With the Founding Member priority period for the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel set to end in less than two weeks, reports suggest that Disney Vacation Club Guides have begun to accept initial purchase information from other members interested in buying.

Members who purchased their initial DVC ownership interest from the Disneyland sales center received a two month priority period in which to buy points at the Grand Californian.  That priority period is set to end on March 25, 2009.  At that time DVC will begin processing add-on requests from other members wishing to own part of the first west-coast Vacation Club property.

Reports indicate that DVC Guides are beginning to accept information from members seeking to lock-in their Grand Californian purchase on March 26th.

The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel will house only 50 two-bedroom equivalent units making it the smallest DVC property yet.  It is unknown exactly how many points will be available to members once the Founding Member priority period ends. Those with an interest in the Grand Californian are advised to contact their Guide to discuss the matter further.

The current price is $112 per point.  There is a minimum purchase of 25 points.  Those wishing to finance must purchase at least 50 points.  And an add-on of 100 points or more qualifies for purchase incentives.  Current incentives include $5 off per point, a complimentary Disney Cruise Line voyage and/or Developer's Points to be used at Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa or for a trade through RCI.
