The uptick in direct sales of Disney Vacation Club points that was seen in August 2026 continued in September with 176,159 points sold for the 12 DVC timeshare resorts located at World Disney World.  It is the largest number of points sold since 179,127 points were sold in March 2025.

The three DVC resorts in Florida in active sales recorded better than average sales in September.  Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows exceeded its average over the previous 12 months by 18.2%.  The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort was up 8.9% while Disney’s Riviera Resort was up 8.3%.

Twenty-two 25-point deeds were sold in September.  Polynesian led all resorts with eight such deeds.

The largest deed sold in September was a 900-point deed for the Polynesian.  Two 600-point deeds were sold, one each for Riviera and Disney’s Old Key West Resort.  In addition, eight 500-point deeds were sold: Five for Riviera and one each for Polynesian, Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness, and The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.

Disney’s Riviera Resort —  In September 2026, 56,884 points were sold for Riviera.

Recently, Disney announced that Riviera was 95% sold out.  Based on deeds recorded with the Orange County (FL) Comptroller (OCC) through September, Disney has sold 6,031,069 of the resort’s 6,739,966 total points. Since it is required to retain a minimum of 2% of Riviera’s total points, the most Disney can sell to the general public is 6,605,167 points.  This would leave Disney with 574,098 points left in its inventory that it can sell.

However, that inventory does not reflect all the points that are already committed to pending sales that have not yet closed.  Most DVC deeds close within three weeks of the original purchase date but some take more than a month or two before they close and are recorded with OCC.  Quite likely, Disney has several hundred Riviera deeds that are awaiting closure, which might account for another 100,000 points, if not more.

More importantly, Disney is not limited to retaining only 2% of Riviera’s total points.  Since it can use its points to fund cash reservations Disney may decide it wants to keep more points for itself.

In September, Disney reacquired three Riviera deeds containing 1,030 points. Two deeds were reacquired via the trustee foreclosure process and one via a warranty deed in lieu of foreclosure.  In the last 12 months it has taken back 48,341 Riviera points.  Even after the resort is declared “sold out” Disney will continue have some points that can be sold to the public.

Three Fixed Week deeds were sold in September for the Riviera.   The number of Fixed Week deeds sold for the resort is now up to 156.

On May 29, 2026, documentation was filed by Disney declaring 20 Riviera vacation homes for the DVC inventory.  With this declaration, all 341 vacation homes at the Riviera are now part of the DVC inventory.

The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort —  In September 2026, 11,050 points were sold for the Cabins.  It was the first time since March 2026 that Cabin sales exceeded the 10,000-point mark.

Disney has sold 259,995 points for the Cabins, which is about 9.2% of the resort’s estimated 2,837,571 total points.  Since sales began, the Cabins have averaged 8,137 points a month.

No Fixed Week deeds were sold for the Cabins in September, keeping the total number of deeds at 29 for the resort.   The most popular weeks are #43 and #44, which are around Halloween.  Fourteen Fixed Week deeds have been sold for these two weeks.  It is the only resort that offers the Fixed Week option where the most popular weeks are not the last six weeks of the year.

Disney has declared 63 cabins for the timeshare inventory.  DVC members will be able to book using points up to 63 cabins on any given Use Day.  There are still another 300 cabins that have not yet been declared.  Disney will be able to use these 300 cabins for cash rentals or any other purpose it desires.

Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows —  In September 2026, 87,831 points were sold for the Polynesian.  It was the fifth best month for sales since Polynesian’s Island Tower started sales in October 2024.

Disney has now sold 1,860,974 (52.6%) of the Island Tower’s 3,608,934 total points. At its current rate of sales the resort could be completely sold out in about 22 months.

In September, Disney reacquired one Polynesian deed containing 400 points that was drawn from an Island Tower residential unit.  The deed was reacquired via the Trustee Foreclosure process.

No Fixed Week deeds were sold for accommodations at Island Tower in September.  Disney has sold 45 Fixed Week deeds for the Island Tower.

On July 22, 2026, Disney declared 19 more vacation homes for the timeshare inventory at Island Tower.  This latest declaration increases the number of vacation homes that DVC members can book using points from 123 to 142.  There are still 80 vacation homes at the Island Tower that have not yet been declared and are still under the control of Disney.  The declared inventory accounts for 2,318,156 points, which is 64.2% of the Island Tower’s 3,608,934 estimated total points.

The Orange County, California, Clerk Recorder is the source for public information about sales for the Disney Vacation Club resorts located at the Disneyland Resort.  Beginning in January 2025, its public website no longer displays the deed document tax amount for deeds recorded with the county.  Since the tax amount was the only way to infer the number of DVC points for each deed, it is no longer possible to estimate the number of points sold for The Villas at Disneyland Hotel or The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel timeshare.  Therefore, sales data for these resorts will no longer be included in the monthly sales report.

The sales data includes all 12 DVC resorts at Walt Disney World, as well as Disney's Vero Beach Resort, and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort.  Point sales data is not available for The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel or The Villas at Disneyland Hotel. The data is compiled from deeds filed by Disney Vacation Development and recorded with the Orange County (FL) Comptroller, the Indian River County (FL) Clerk of Court, and the Beaufort County (SC) Register of Deeds.  Thanks to Chris and Dan for assisting in the compilation of the sales data.
