According to Disney Vacation Club's promotional materials, today is the final day to add points under the current incentive program. Additionally, the base price new buyers may also increase tomorrow.
Current incentives discount points by $3-12 per point depending upon the volume of the purchase, along with developer reductions of another $500-1000. Incentives apply to points for Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas and Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas. These offers are set to expire on Tuesday, January 14, 2014.
New incentives are likely to be unveiled tomorrow, but the value and eligible resorts remains unknown. To date Disney Vacation Club has never offered incentives for points at the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Animal Kingdom Villas may have sold enough to qualify for DVC's "sold out" designation, at which time incentive programs are typically discontinued.
Meanwhile, sources indicate that new buyers may pay a higher base price for points beginning January 15th.
DVC previously revealed that add-on prices for current owners would increase on February 12, 2014. Over the years, DVC has a track record of raising prices for new buyers several weeks before current owners.
Buyers can typically lock-in current rates by giving a verbal commitment to buy and a nominal credit card deposit.
