Disney Vacation Club recently tweaked its pricing for two resorts. Unfortunately, the current incentives leave buyers paying higher net prices than with previous specials.
Promotions for direct purchases of Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas and Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas have undergone a periodic adjustment. The base rate of $150 per point remains in place for both properties. However the promotional discounts are not as good as those offered during the spring and summer 2013.
New buyers receive a discount of $3-11 per point depending upon the size of the purchase. Developer incentives of $500 or $1000 also apply, depending on the volume.
Rates for both Aulani and Animal Kingdom Villas are as follows:
$150 per point less $3 per point incentive AND $500 Developer Credit; 100-159 points
$150 per point less $5 per point incentive AND $500 Developer Credit; 160-219 points
$150 per point less $8 per point incentive AND $1000 Developer Credit; 220-319 points
$150 per point less $10 per point incentive AND $1000 Developer Credit; 320-999 points
$150 per point less $11 per point incentive AND $1000 Developer Credit; 1000+ points
Current members are offered slightly better prices for their add-on purchases with incentives ranging from $3-13 per point, in addition to the $500 or $1000 Developer incentive on certain volumes.

$150 per point less $5 per point incentive AND $500 Developer Credit; 100-159 points
$150 per point less $8 per point incentive AND $500 Developer Credit; 160-219 points

$150 per point less $12 per point incentive AND $1000 Developer Credit; 320-999 points
$150 per point less $12 per point incentive AND $1000 Developer Credit; 1000+ points
These revised incentives are lower than previous offers at most levels. Discounts previously ranged from $3-16 per point, with the $1000 Developer incentive applying to all purchases of 100 or more points. Also eliminated was a secondary offer under which buyers could opt for a number of Disneyland or Walt Disney World theme park tickets in lieu of the price reductions.
Current marketing materials suggest these rates will be available through January 14, 2014.
No changes have been made to pricing for the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Grand Floridian points remain available for a flat $150 per point with no incentives or discounts.
