There is good news for Cast Members of The Walt Disney Company--and their family members--who are interested in purchasing Disney Vacation Club points.
For many years Disney Vacation Club has offered discounted pricing to company employees and their family members. Those discount levels have varied over the years with recent rates providing a flat discount of 15% off DVC's retail prices.
For a limited time the Cast Member discount has been increased to 20% off non-discounted rates. The discount is offered to Disney employees and immediate family members including: parent / stepparent, spouse / registered domestic partner, mother-in-law / father-in-law, brother / sister, child / stepchild, brother-in-law / sister-in-law, stepbrother / stepsister, grandchild and grandparent.
The rate is valid until September 29, 2012. Those buying under this incentive are required to sign additional documents related to the purchase. Clauses typically include a non-rental pledge and restrictions on future resale of points purchased with the Cast Member discount.
