New pricing for BLT, older resorts

Financial News & Pricing

Earlier this week Disney Vacation Club made some slight adjustments to its pricing for the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  Next week will see changes to prices for several older properties.

The base price for points at the Bay Lake Tower has risen to a new high at $150 per point.  However, Disney Vacation Club has re-introduced a slate of incentives for this nearly sold-out property.

Current prices are as follows:

New Member

100+ points:  $150 base price less promotional discount of $10 per point

Existing Member Add-on

25-49 points:  $150 per point
50-99 points:  $150 base price less $8 discount
100+ points:  $150 base price less $12 discount

For most buyers, these prices are equal to or slightly under the flat rate of $150 per point which has been in place since early July.

On tap are adjustment to prices at several sold-out resorts.  The following rates are reportedly scheduled to take effect on August 9, 2011:

Disney's Old Key West Resort:  $100 per point (up from $90)
Disney's Vero Beach Resort:  $75 per point (down from $80)
Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel:  $130 per point (up from $120)

Incentives are not typically offered for resorts classified as "sold out", meaning that the above prices would apply regardless of the size of purchase.  Closing costs and additional fees may apply to all new purchases or add-on contracts.  Contact a Disney Vacation Club sales representative for complete details.
