Beginning July 24, 2024, Walt Disney World guests will be able to purchase Lightning Lane 7 days in advance of their arrival, and pre-schedule up to 3 attractions per day.
Today Disney announced changes to its Genie+ service which fans of the former FastPass+ service will likely appreciate. First, the Genie+ branding is being retired with Disney's line-skipping options now known as Lightning Lane:
- Lightning Lane Single Pass: the current individual Lightning Lane product, offered for attractions like Rise of the Resistance and Pandora: Flight of Passage
- Lightning Lane Multi Pass: the former Genie+ product
With Lightning Lane Multi Pass, guests will be able to make up to 3 Lightning Lane selections in advance of their visit, including the attraction and their preferred ride time.
Disney resort guests--including those staying at Disney Vacation Club resorts--can make their selections up to 7 days in advance of arrival for their entire length of stay (up to 14 days.) Other guests can plan up to 3 days in advance. After using the first Lightning Lane selection of the day, guests will be able to book an addiitonal experience.
On any given day, guests can choose to use either Lightning Lane Single Pass, Lightning Lane Multi Pass or both services.
Attractions at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios are separated into two Lightning Lane Multi Pass groups. Guests can choose one attraction from Group 1 and two attractions from Group 2. (Or all three attractions from Group 2.) The attractions are as follows:
Magic Kingdom
Group 1: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan's Flight, Space Mountain, Tiana's Bayou Adventure
Group 2: Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, It's a Small World, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Mad Tea Party, Mickey's Philharmagic, Monster's Inc Laugh Floor, The Barnstormer, Magic Carpets of Aladdin, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Tomorrowland Speedway, Journey of the Little Mermaid
EPCOT
Group 1: Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, Frozen Ever After, Soarin' Around the World
Group 2: Journey into Imagination with Figment, Living with the Land, Mission; SPACE, Spaceship Earth, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, Turtle Talk with Crush, Disney-Pixar Short Film Festival
Disney's Hollywood Studios

There are no groups for Disney's Animal Kingdom, and guests may choose any three of the following attractions: DINOSAUR, Expedition Everest, Feathered Friends in Flight, Festival of the Lion King, Finding Nemo: The Big Blue and Beyond, It's Tough to be a Bug!, Kali River Rapids, Kilimanjaro Safari, Na'Vi River Journey.
Each theme park has 1-2 attractions which will remain as Lightning Lane Single Pass options. This list includes Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Avatar Flight of Passage at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Character meet and greets, reserved parade viewing and a handful of other experiences which are currently part of Genie+ will not be offered with Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Disney has not revealed what impact these changes will have on pricing.
The new Lightning Lane branding will also apply to attractions at Disneyland Resort beginning July 24. However there are no plans to offer advance purchase at Disneyland at this time.
