Effective Sunday, February 11, 2018, both Disneyland and Walt Disney World raised prices on most single and multi-day theme park passes.
Almost one year to the day since the last price increase, Disney has again raised rates on most forms of theme park ticket media. Following is a summary of the price changes for discounted Walt Disney World annual passes offered to DVC members:
Pass | Old Rate | New Rate | Percent Change |
DVC Gold Annual Pass - New | $559 | $589 | +5.4% |
DVC Gold Annual Pass - Renewal | 475 | 500 | +5.3% |
DVC Platinum Annual Pass - New | 679 | 729 | +7.4% |
DVC Platinum Annual Pass - Renewal | 577 | 619 | +7.3% |
DVC Platinum Plus Annual Pass - New | 769 | 829 | +7.8% |
DVC Platinum Plus Annual Pass - Renewal | 653 | 704 | +7.8% |
The Gold Annual Pass is available only to qualifying Disney Vacation Club members and Florida residents. The pass features unlimited admission to the four Walt Disney World theme parks, with the exception of a series of blockout dates around the Easter (March 24 - April 6, 2018) and Christmas (December 20, 2018 to January 3, 2019) holidays.
These increases are moderately higher than in February 2017 when the Gold pass went up less than 2% while the Platinum Passes rose by 4-5%. Prices for the Platinum and Platinum Plus passes reflect a $100 DVC member discount. Rates above do not include tax. Pass prices apply to all guests ages 3 and up.
Tiered pricing for single-day park admission went up by $2-10 per day, depending upon park and season. Value season single-day admission saw the lowest increase at just $2-3 per day, while the Peak Season Magic Kingdom ticket rose $10 to $129.
Later this year Disney will reportedly expand tiered pricing to multi-day tickets as well.
Multi-day Magic Your Way passes have also increased in price. Shorter duration tickets saw the highest percentage increase with 2-5 day passes rising 5-9%. Meanwhile 7-10 day passes saw very modest increases of just $5 per pass, hovering around 1%.
Out west, DVC owners are still limited to just $20 savings on the Signature Plus, Signature and Deluxe Annual Passes. Prices on these passes rose by more than $100 each with the Signature Plus now at $1,149, Signature for $999 and Deluxe pass $729 before tax and DVC discount.
Most single day and multi day Disneyland passes rose 5-9% with the 1-day Peak pass now at $135.
