February 2014 WDW ticket price increase

WDW Theme Park News

With little fanfare, Walt Disney World today increased prices on Annual Passes and Premium Annual Passes.

In recent years Disney has used the official Disney Parks Blog to give readers advance warning of ticket price increases.  Not this time.

Effective immediately, the prices of all Walt Disney World Annual Passes with the Disney Vacation Club discount have increased by approximately $21 each plus tax.  Annual Pass renewals are up $15 plus tax.

Following is a summary of the Annual Pass price changes for DVC members:

Pass Type

Old Price

New Price

Annual Pass

$494.16

$516.53

Annual Pass renewal

$419.61

$435.59

Premium Annual Pass

$621.96

$644.33

Premium Annual Pass renewal

$526.11

$542.09

Ironically the Premium Annual Pass renewal was previously priced at $542.09 in 2012 and early 2013 until it experienced a rare price reduction in June 2013.

Fortunately the limited-time Disney Vacation Club rate on Premium Annual Passes has not been impacted.  Through April 30, 2014 members can purchase a Walt Disney World Premium AP for $515.46 including tax.  Passes purchased at this rate must be activated no later than January 31, 2015.

Other admission media were also impacted by the price increases with single-day admission to the Magic Kingdom theme park now set at $105.44 per adult with tax.
