A few weeks ago I found myself in the Chicago area and made a point to stop by Disney Vacation Club's Doorway to Dreams sales center in Schaumburg.

Doorway to Dreams is a regional vacation club sales center. Two locations are currently available in Schaumburg, IL and Long Island, NY. Much like the sales centers at Walt Disney World and Disneyland, their purpose is to introduce folks to the wonders of Disney Vacation Club ownership.
The Schaumburg store is located in the Nordstrom's wing of the Woodfield Mall.
Photos and video monitors line the outside of the shop, beckoning passers-by to stop and take a look around. Both current and prospective DVC members are welcome to visit.
Inside is a reception lobby with more videos and displays to keep folks entertained--and informed--while they wait.
The highlight of the tour is a full-size mock-up of a Two Bedroom villa from the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Above is a photo of the kitchen and living area taken from the faux balcony.

The mall's center court also features a small information kiosk to grab the attention of shoppers.
Doorway to Dreams is a worthwhile visit both for prospective members and for current members looking to see the latest villas DVC has to offer. But be warned that your pockets may be a bit lighter if you find that you like what you see!
