Generally speaking, there seems to be a couple different philosophies adopted by different Disney Vacation Club members:
"I am Disney's most loyal guest. I deserve to be given extra perks and benefits due to my dedication and enormous financial investment in Disney Vacation Club."
...or...
"DVC has allowed me to secure enormous discounts on Disney accommodations for up to 50 years. While it would be nice to receive extra perks, I don't feel that Disney owes me anything else."
