In recent years, Disney has substantially increased the volume of VIP experiences offered to theme park guests and fans. These events include things like fireworks dessert parties, DVC Member cruises, preferred seating at the D23 Expo and even a final ride on the Star Tours flight simulator. Guests are promised a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but only in return for paying a premium price.
