In June Disneyland Resort announced a summer Extra Magic Hour schedule which gave guests at its resort hotels early entry to either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure. That schedule has since been tweaked...for the better.
Under the original schedule, guests at the Disney-owned resorts--including the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel--would gain early entry to Disneyland four days per week. The other three days of the week resort guests could enter Disney California Adventure an hour before day guests and other groups.
Effective July 15, 2012, Disney Hotel guests can now access both theme parks an hour early, every day of the week. Park opening is scheduled for 9:00am most days with Extra Magic Hour access beginning at 8:00am.
This Extra Magic Hour perk is scheduled to run through September 13, 2012.
