Disney Vacation Club Member Services will be taking reservations for the 2016 S.S. Member Cruise on Sunday, November 15, 2015. Inside are details on what folks should expect when making reservations, along with details about how other member communications will be impacted.
The 2016 Member Cruise is scheduled to depart on September 28 for four nights. The Disney Magic will take guests from New York City to Halifax, Nova Scotia and back to NYC.
Reservations will be accepted starting at 9am Eastern Time on Sunday 11/15/15. Due to high demand, callers should expect long wait times and be prepared with a list of acceptable cabin classes in the event that their first choice is not available. Following are some additional tips to help prepare for the booking process:
- Only telephone reservations will be accepted. No web-based, email, chat or fax options are available.
- Members intending to pay cash for some or all of their cruise fare must pay 100% of the balance due at the time of the reservation. There are no staggered payment windows for exclusive member sailings.
- No booking fees will be charged, however there is a $95 fee which applies to any changes made to the reservation after the initial booking.
- Resale points purchased after March 21, 2011 cannot be used toward a member cruise. Additionally, individuals whose ownership consists entirely of resale points acquired after 3/21/11 are not even permitted to pay cash for the exclusive voyage.
- Callers should have the following information available: DVC member ID number, stateroom choices, list of unique medical or dietary needs, Castaway Club Number.
- The following information must be provided for each individual sailing on the cruise: Legal name and middle initial, home address, telephone number, date of birth, citizenship.
Quantities are limited for some cabins and reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
Also note that DVC Member Services will only field phone calls related to the Member Cruise from 9:00am - 2:30pm Eastern on 11/15. Agents can assist with other Disney Vacation Club reservations and inquiries after 2:30pm.
