Our monthly tracking of Disney Vacation Club direct sales numbers has been updated. Included are some initial sales figures for the Aulani resort in Hawai'i.
DVC finished out the calendar year with November sales up slightly over 2009 and December sales rising nearly 40% over the prior year. These increases apply to sales at the Walt Disney World-based properties, Disneyland and Hilton Head only.
Meanwhile the State of Hawai'i began recording deeds for Disney Vacation Club purchases at Aulani. Unfortunately there appears to be a significant delay in recording of the Hawai'i deeds. At present, only deeds recorded through October 19, 2010 have been posted to the Hawai'i public records site.
Aulani sales have been blended in with the numbers in our DVC Sales Statistics chart. Following is summary of the Aulani deeds recorded by month:
July 2010: 13
August 2010: 178
September 2010: 242
October 2010 (through 10/19): 443
Additional Aulani sales will be added to prior months sales as the data becomes available.
Note that these figures represent only the number of contracts sold. Data on the number of points contained within those contracts is not available on-line in many cases. DVCNews.com forum member 'wdrl' performs a wonderful monthly analysis of Florida resort sales in this forum thread.
