Every year Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort play host to several major press events. Hundreds of members of the broadcast and print media will descend on the theme parks as Disney displays its most recent contributions to the theme park business.
Since Bob Iger took the reins of The Walt Disney Company, these press events have proven to be a major source of information regarding the present and the future of Disney’s theme park operations. This week’s press events (scheduled for January 24 – 26) will mark the official opening for attractions such as Finding Nemo – The Musical and The Seas with Nemo & Friends. Disney may even spill the beans on Midway Mania (or Toy Story Mania), an attraction whose development has been widely reported in fan circles since the closing of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire-Play It! was announced.
And, if Al Lutz’ sources are correct, this week will also see the announcement of the first DVC resort component at Disneyland.
