DVC confirms California "sellout phase"

Grand Californian Hotel

Disney Vacation Club has issued a statement confirming our report from last week suggesting that sales of the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel will soon be complete.

California Resort Entering "Sellout Phase"

The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel®, the first Disney Vacation Club® Resort on the West Coast, is on pace to sell out this summer.

Located just steps away from the Disneyland® Resort Theme Parks and the Downtown Disney® District, the 50 two-bedroom-equivalent villas have proven to be a hit.

"We knew when we launched our first Disney Vacation Club property at the storied Disneyland Resort that sales would move quickly," said Mike Brunson, Disney Vacation Club Sales Director for the Disneyland Resort. "That has certainly been the case. The response has been tremendous."

Featuring the refined woodwork and intricate details that helped define the California Arts & Crafts movement, the new villas build on the cherished tradition of Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. And, with whimsical touches ranging from hidden Mickeys in the carpeting to subtle Pinocchio cues in bathroom wall borders, the inviting vacation homes have plenty of "character."

"Members who have grown accustomed to Disney Vacation Club Resort accommodations on the East Coast are thrilled to now have those same comforts at the place that started it all," Mike added. "Plus, new Members are experiencing the Disney Vacation Club difference for the first time here in Anaheim, and I particularly enjoy seeing the reaction of those families. We've taken Disneyland vacations to another level."
