One travel publication has named Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort the best in the state.
Conde Nast Traveler has published its list of the best hotel or resort in every state in the U.S. The South Carolina honor was bestowed upon Disney's resort and timeshare. The slideshow caption has this to say about Disney's Hilton Head property:
"Designed in the style of a 1940s fishing lodge, this Disney outpost in the central region of Hilton Head Island removes the kitsch but amps up the family-friendly. You won’t find the soft footsteps of Mickey and Minnie running all over the place; here the more traditional s’mores and campfires are the draw."
Other resorts on the list include L'Horizons Resort & Spa in Palm Springs, Virgin Hotels Chicago and Wynn Las Vegas.
