The main pool at Disney's Contemporary Resort is scheduled to close for almost 4 months in early 2023, however work will not impact the adjacent pool reserved for Disney Vacation Club members.
A refurbishment is currently planned for the Feature Pool at Disney's Contemporary Resort from January 9 through early April, 2023. The feature pool including its waterslide and hot tubs will be unavailable during the project.
The neighboring Bay Lake Pool and kids water play area will remain available during the refurbishment. Also unaffected is the Bay Cove Pool located at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, which is reserved exclusively for guests staying in the Disney Vacation Club villas.
Hotel rooms at the Contemporary are currently being refurbished with an "Incredibles" theme, while lobby restaurant The Wave...of American Flavors is being converted to casual dining venue Steakhouse 71.
