For the next several days, the walkway connecting Bay Lake Tower to Disney's Contemporary Resort will be closed in the overnight hours.
WDWNT.com is reporting that the Contemporary's Skyway Bridge will be closed nightly through Friday, January 24, 2020. A sign posted nearby reads as follows:
Please pardon our appearance as we enhance this area for your future enjoyment.
The Skyway Bridge will be temporarily closed immediately following Resort Monorail operating hours through 6am nightly beginning Monday, January 20th through Friday, January 24th.
If you need to travel between Disney's Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort during this time, please utilize the walkway accessible from the first floor.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
The Skyway Bridge connects the 5th floor of Bay Lake Tower to the 4th floor at the Contemporary. During the closure, Bay Lake Tower guests can take the elevator to the ground floor and use outdoor paths to make their way to the original A-frame tower.
