Disney Vacation Club has set the dates on which members may begin making reservations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas.
Owners at AKV can begin booking through Members Services on Wednesday May 16th. On this date, owners will be able to book their trips from the resort’s opening through the night of April 15, 2008.
Owners at all other DVC resorts can begin booking rooms at AKV on Wednesday June 6th. On this date non-owners will be able to book their trips from the resort’s opening through the night of January 5, 2008.
It remains to be seen exactly when the resort will officially open to guests. Various sources have reported both September 1, 2007 and October 1, 2007 as estimated opening dates for AKV. Also unknown is the exact number of rooms that will be available to guests. A total of 134 units are scheduled to be added to the existing Lodge facility, but these rooms will be spread over two phases of construction. The second phase is not projected to open until early 2008.
