The feature pool at Jambo House of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge will close for several months near the end of 2018.
Uzima Springs Pool
Uzima Springs Pool and nearby Uzima Springs Pool Bar will close in September 2018 for an extended refurbishment. Guest notificaitons suggest the closure will occur early in the month, shortly after the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 3.
The project end date is listed only as winter 2018 which could leave the pool closed to guests for a period of 4-6 months.
Reasons for the extensive closure are not known at this time. Routine pool maintenance at Walt Disney World resorts is commonplace, however projects are typically completed scheduled for the cold winter months (January - March) and completed in 6-8 weeks' time.
During the Uzima pool closure, Jambo House guests are invited to utilize the Samawati Springs Pool at nearby Kidani Village. Shuttle transportation will be provided between Jambo House and Kidani Village.
