DVC and Annual Passholder previews for Monsters, Inc. The Laugh Floor Comedy Club scheduled for January 19-21, 2007 have been cancelled. The attraction’s opening has been delayed several months while Disney Imagineers look to enhance the attraction’s script. Reportedly the delay is not due to technical issues so much as lackluster guest response to the stand-up comedy segments.
According to Scott Powers of the Orlando Sentinel:
“The delay will give staff members a chance for more training in the complex technology being used, and writers a chance to re-script parts of the show based on audience feedback...”
The DVC previews will be re-scheduled for later in the spring of 2007.
