Last call for Grand Floridian points

Grand Floridian

If you were procrastinating adding some points at the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort...well, it may already be too late.

For all intents and purposes, Disney Vacation Club'sGrand Floridian property is quickly approaching its sell-out milestone.  Multiple reports indicate that points are becoming very scarce at the property with only select Use Years available to purchase.  March and December Use Years are the most commonly mentioned.

So far, DVC has not made a formal announcement indicating that they consider the property to be sold out.

Points availability is a very fluid situation at all Disney Vacation Club properties.  DVC can utilize its Right of First Refusal on any resale transaction, allowing them to recapture points for any property at any time.  Even if DVC's inventory of Grand Floridian points is virtually non-existent, ROFR can allow them to acquire hundreds or thousands of points in very short order.

In the past, DVC has used the "sold out" label to discontinue all sales incentives on a property.  In the case of the Grand Floridian, discounts and incentives have never been offered to buyers.

It remains to be seen whether DVC will make a formal "sold out" announcement for the Grand Floridian.  But buyers who approach Disney to purchase direct should expect limited availablity and the likelihood of spending time on a waiting list before the sale can be completed.  Expect DVC to shift its sales focus to Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows along with Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas.
