With Disney's Skyliner due to open in just over a week, we now have our first preview of the expected travel time between stations.
Skyliner Station at Disney's Riviera Resort
Attractions Magazine had a chance to preview Disney's Skyliner and has checked-in with some early impressions on the service. Included are a measurement of travel time between each Skyliner station.
According to Attractions, the full journey from Epcot's International Gateway to Disney's Hollywood Studios took less than 12 minutes to complete. This route will be of particular interest to members staying at Disney's Beach Club Villas, as it's shorter than the average travel time from their resort to Hollywood Studios either on foot or via Friendship water launch.
Guests at Disney's BoardWalk Villas can walk to Hollywood Studios faster than using the Skyliner. However, the nearby Skyliner station will provide easy access to nearby resorts including Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's Pop Century Resort.
Disney's Riviera Resort--the fifteenth Disney Vacation Club resort--is positioned roughly between the two parks and feautes its own Skyliner station. Per Attractions, the trip from Riviera to Epcot takes a little over 6 minutes, while Riveria to Hollywood Studios is less than 5 minutes in the air.
Note that guests are required to disembark at the Caribbean Beach Skyliner station. Those coming from Epcot, Riviera or Pop Century / Art of Animation to or from Hollywood Studios must change vehicles, adding to the travel time.
